On May 20th/21st the ESSL opening tournament took place in Linz, Austria. Best hitter of the tournament David Donnelly (AVG .786) from the Eagles and best pitcher Tomacz Sovinc (OBA .381) from Dream Team.
D.R. (Dominican Republic) won the tournament. After loosing the first championship game (13:14) they won the if-game 17:9 vs Guzzlers.

The Guzzlers Black won the tournament by fighting back all the way from the losers bracket to win it against the Eagles. They totally played 11 games on two days.
