Before the last tournament 6 teams are already qualified as long as the top two teams of the ESSL Central win at least two games and are not ranked last. But for 4 teams (Bulldogs , DNT , Grizzlies  and PGS ) it will be a close race until the last game. DNT has the toughest situation of the four teams because their division is already completed and the Dutch team can only watch the outcome of the ESSL Central tournament in Ljubljana. At the moment DNT is ranked 8th and has a spot in the ESSL finals. The Czech Grizzlies do have the best cards but still need to win at least two games to secure their spot. On the 9th ranking position, right behind DNT, are the Bulldogs. The team from Slovenia has the chance to overpass DNT but needs at least 3 wins. But don’t count out PGS from Austria. The underdogs can still surprise everbody at the end.

Probability of qualified teams (alphabetical order): Dream Team (80%) , Eagles (100%) , GK Hitmen (100%) , Guzzlers (90%) , Toros (99%)  and Uprising (99%) 

How close can it be between the Bulldogs and DNT?
In case the Bulldogs play 6 games and win 3 out of 3 then they are tied with DNT based on the wining percentage. As a next ranking factor the run differences will be in effect. DNT has a run difference of -32 and Bulldogs of -38 . At the end one run made or one run allowed can make the difference.

Theoretically, the Guzzlers or Dream Team can also drop out when they don’t manage to win enough games or forfeit the tournament.

Ranking system for the finals:

1. Winning percentage (games / wins) of all games of the tournament. For a tied game a team receives 0.5 extra points for the ranking.
