Meet the ESSL league team

Darja Grimsic leads the ESSL into their 5th season as the ESSL league president. With the help of the new ESSL sports director Tomaz Sovinc she expects to create a great and challenging season for the the ESSL teams.

Besides the league organisation the ESSL West will be organized by Richard Foppen, Patrick Waltman and Sabrina Mauerer.

Get to know Tomaz

He is a former baseball player and coach and started playing baseball in 1978. As a former Slovenian baseball nationall team player he played against the top European teams in the A pool. In 2000 he finished his baseball career and after short break he started to play slowpitch.
Sport is an important part of his life and his family supports his hobbies like baseball, slowpitch, hockey, basketball, skiing and son on.
In 2017 he became the Slovenian national baseball team outfield coach with big goal to reach the B group with the Slovenian baseball team.
